For a meeting with an Israeli counterpart, Mitsotakis is in Israel.

According to officials, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has arrived in Israel for a scheduled meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, his Israeli counterpart.

Due to security reasons, Mitsotakis' planned trip to Israel on Thursday was postponed.

Some Israeli officials had expressed dissatisfaction with Mitsotakis' choice to postpone that meeting, as was mentioned in Sunday's Kathimerini. They cited the fact that numerous European leaders had traveled to Israel without bringing up any security issues.

On Monday afternoon, the Greek prime minister is scheduled to return to Athens.
